Clergyman. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., Sept. 16, 1896. Studied at Holy Ghost College and Mt. St. Mary's College, Emmitsburg, Md. Studied theology in St. Charles Borromeo's Seminary, Overbrook, Pa. Ordained on May 21, 1921 by Cardinal D. Dougherty. Served as a curate in Immaculate Conception Church, Reading, Pa., 1921-22; St. Josaphat's Church, Philadelphia, Pa., 1922; St. Hedwig's Church, Chester, Pa., 1922-25. Pastor of SS. Peter and Paul parish, St. Clair, Pa., from 1925 to 1933. Pastor of St. Casimir parish in Mahanoy City, Pa., from July, 1933 to 1939.
