Kochanski, Paul
Violinist, music teacher. Born in Poland. Completed his music studies in one of the most famous conservatories in Warsaw. Toured Europe and U.S. and established a high reputation as solo and chamber music player; during the first World War and after he had labored for his native land and brought glory to Poland in all parts of the civilized world. Decorated by the Polish Government in 1928 with the Cross of "Polonia Restituta." Studied with Emil Mlynarski and made his violin debut in Warsaw, 1928. Former (director of the violin department at the Julliard School of Music in N. Y. City until his death. Was one of the greatest violinists of all times. Died Jan. 12, 1934.
