Kocialkowski, Leo
Public official. Born in Chicago. Ill., Aug. 16, 1882, son of Michael and Dorothy (Wendzinski) Kocialkowski. Attended private schools which were supplemented by a business course. Worked in numerous capacities in various business houses. For 16 years in the employ of the county treasurer of Cook County, in charge of delinquent taxes. Assistant to the chief deputy bailiff, Municipal Courts, Chicago, Ill., for two years. In 1926 a delegate to the Democratic National Convention, Houston, Texas. Elected a member of the U.S. House of Representatives in 1932 for the 73rd Congress and served continuously through the 74th and 75th Congress, re-elected to the 76th Congress on November 8, 1939 from the 8th district of Chicago, Ill.
