Kolasinski, Rev. Dominic
Clergyman. Born Aug. 13, 1838 in Poland. Ordained in Krakow, Poland, on July 25, 1864. In 1882 was incardinated in Detroit Diocese of Michigan. Appointed assistant at St. Adalbert's parish and shortly after made pastor of said parish (1882-1885). Built a magnificent church. Organized St. Casimir's parish in Detroit, Mich. Rector of a parish in Minto, N. Dak., in 1886. In 1888 came back to Detroit and became pastor of the independent parish of Sweetest Heart of Mary, 1888-1894, where he built a new church. In 1892 bishop Reno Vilatte consecrated his church. He was recognized by the bishop on Feb. 18, 1894 and was appointed pastor of the same parish; remained there to time of his death in 1894.
