Korzeniewska, Anna
Social worker. Born July 30, 1873 in Chicago; daughter of Adalbert and Josephine Jendrzejek. In 1891 married Joseph Korzeniewski a business man and co-founder of Northwestern Trust and Savings Bank in Chicago. Active in Polish affairs. Was a friend of the orphans; helped able children to finish their education; adopted a few orphans, although she herself was a mother of 13 children. An able organizer; she organized Queen Hedwig Association, Chapter 584 of Foresters, St. Ann Society, Chapter 265 of P.R.C.U. Member of the Educational Department of P.R.C.U. For 25 years a trustee of Foresters; member of Polish Women's Alliance, P.N.A. In 1932 visited Poland, land of her ancestors. Died March 31, 1937 in Chicago, Ill.
