Born Oct. 26. 1929, Bloomfield (NJ), U.S.; son of John and Albina (Jesionowska); married Mary (Falcone).

Education: Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Hiram College (OH), 1952; Master of Arts (M.A.), J. Carroll University, Cleveland (OH), 1961; Ph.D., Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, 1972.

Career: prof., J. Carroll University, 1966 -.

Member of: American Historical Association (AHA); Ohio Academy of History; American Association for the Advancement of Slavic Studies (AAASS); Cleveland Society of Poles (president,1986-87); Polish Institute of Arts and Sciences of America (P.I.A.S.A.).

Honors: grant, Kosciuszko Foundation, 1981-82; Pulaski Heritage Award, Polonia Foundation of Ohio, 1987.

Served with: United States Air Force (USAF), Intelligence Service, Polish language specialist, 1952-56.
