Military: Polish Home Army (PHA) 12-28-43 Zgrupowanie Stolpecko-Nalibockie (Partisans); 27th cavalry regiment; transferred to 23rd cavalry regiment reconnaissance platoon (the partisan units of this command fought against the Germans and the Russian bands that were robbing Polish countryside in the east of Nowogrodek and southeast Vilno districts); moved to Kampinos area, west of Warsaw just before the Uprising, 8-1-44; uprising ended 10-3-44 in Warsaw, but not in countryside; avoided capture; rejoined underground forces, Apr. 1945, joined Polish forces in Italy under Gen. Anders; arrived in USA in 1950, drafted in U.S. Army 1951, served with 6th Inf. Reg. Berlin, Germany; discharged 1953 as Corporal; In Polish Home Army (PHA), ranks: private 1st class, corporal, sergeant.

Honors: Cross of Valor, 5-1-44; Brass Cross of Merit with Swords, 6-1-45, Polish and British Medals for War of 1939-1945; Cross of Armia Krajowa; Cross of Warsaw Uprising of 1944.
