Kozlowski, Anthony Most Rev. Bishop
Bishop of the Old Catholic Church in America. On August 15, 1885 ordained in Taranto, Italy. In 1894 came to U. S. From 1894 to 1895 assistant pastor of St. Hedwig's Parish, Chicago, Ill. In June 1895 organized an independent All Saints Parish in Chicago, Ill.; the church was dedicated on June 16, 1895. On September 29, 1895 the pastor and the members were excommunicated. On November 21, 1897 he was consecrated bishop by Bishop Edward Herzog, old Catholic bishop in Bern, Switzerland. On April 26, 1898 the Pope Leo XIII himself excommunicated him and the members of his parish. Died on January 15, 1907 in Chicago, Ill.
