Kozlowski, Martin
Veteran of Civil War. Born April 24, 1827 in Warsaw, Poland. In 1846 took part in the Polish uprising against Germany. From 1846 to 1848 lived in England as a refugee and married there. In 1853 came to U.S. and enlisted in the regular army. In 1858 granted honorary discharge. Settled in New Mexico on a 600 acre ranch. On his ranch the Union Army set up a hospital and a cemetery.
