Kraszynski, Maurice
Captain of Union Army in Civil War. Enlisted April 19, 1861 in the Army as private of 11th Infantry of Connecticut. After the battle at Drury's Bluff, Va., on September 1, 1862, promoted as Lieutenant. On May 14-16, 1864 in Grant's operation against Richmond and Petersburg, he was seriously wounded. In August 22, 1864 he was promoted to a captain. Honorary discharge received May 25, 1865. Deceased.From: "Who's Who in Polish America" by Rev.
