Publisher, editor, Born Sepetember 28, 1860 in Slabomierz, Poland. Received secondary education in Wagrowiec. In 1880 came to U. S. settling in Elizabeth, N. J. Graduated from Business College in 1882. Engaged as an insurance agent, went to Bayonne, N. J., where he lived until September 1883. Here married Hedwig Linkiewicz. In 1883 came to Wisconsin and settled in Milwaukee. First engaged in insurance business, in 1885 started to publish the Polish weekly "Krytyka." In 1888 founded and published the Polish Daily "Kuryer Polski" in Milwaukee. In 1890 elected Assemblyman and served in the House from 1890 to 1892 as Democrat. In 1909 elected Senator to the State Senate of Wisconsin. In 1909 elected president of Milwaukee Daily Newspaper Publishers Association. The main purpose of his struggles was to get equal rights for the Polish immigrants in Roman Catholic Church, having about 30% of the members and no proportional representation in the Church Hierarchy.
