Kryzan (Krzyzan), Anthony T.
Lawyer. The son of Max and Ann Kryzan, graduated from St. Stanislaus parochial school 1919 and South High School in 1923 both in Youngstown, 0. After graduating from high school, worked as a laborer at the Republic Steel Corporation. In September of 1924, took up the study of law, attending evening classes at the Youngstown College. In 1925 secured a position as law clerk with the law firm of Doyle, Fisher & Stroh. In January 1928, before completing his law course, successfully passed the State Bar examination at the age of twenty-one and became the youngest practicing attorney in the State of Ohio. In 1928 received his law degree and graduated cum laude from Youngstown College. In 1929, admitted to practice in the United States Federal Courts. Since 1930 engaged in the private practive of law. In 1933 elected to the council of the city of Youngstown, and is now serving his fourth term of office. Past president of the Pulaski Polish Federation, president of St. Stanislaus Athletic Club, vice-president of the Free Polish Krakusy Society for a number of years. Member of the Mahoning County Bar Association, vice-president and director of the Catholic Service League; in 1935 honored by the city of Youngstown, when a twenty acre new park was named Kryzan Field.
