Bronislaw Mieczyslaw Kulpinski

Bronislaw Mieczyslaw Kulpinski, firstborn of six children of Piotr and Florentyna Kulpinski, was born in the Nicetown section of Philadelphia on December 10, 1911 and baptized at St. Ladislaus Church.

At the age of nine his parents returned to Poland where he lived and studied for six years. In 1926, at the age of 15, his family returned to America and settled in Syracuse, New York. His family later returned to Philadelphia. He earned his degree in the school of Agronomy and Forestry at Pennsylvania State University.

His business ventures included retailing Polish arts and crafts, wholesaling Polish foods, and with the outbreak of World War II working in a defense plant building airplanes. After World War II, he joined his father to help manage the family bakery, Richmond Bakery, building it into a modem baking facility. He stayed with the bakery until his retirement.

He was the husband of Kazimiera (Wojciechowska), who died in 1995. He is survived by two sisters, Wanda Dezwol and Jadwiga Bogucka, one brother, Laddie, three children, Chris, Zbigniew and Alicia, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Bronislaw Kulpinski suffered a heart attack at his Wynnewood home on March 10, 1998 and died at Lankenau Hospital at the age of 86. Mr. Kulpinski's Funeral Mass took place on Tuesday, March 24th in St. John Cantius Church in the Bridesburg section of Philadelphia.
