Nagiel, Henry
Editor and writer. Born 1859 in Warsaw, Poland. Graduated from Warsaw University, Law School. Came to U.S. about 1887 settling in New York, N. Y., where he became an editor of "Ognisko." In 1889 editor of "Echo" in Buffalo, N. Y., and coeditor of "Kukuryku," also in Buffalo. In 1890 returned to New York City and edited "Kuryer Nowojorski Brooklynski" until 1893. In 1894 went to Chicago, Ill., where he was engaged as a co-editor of "Dziennik Chicagoski." In 1896 left for Poland; in Lwow edited "Slowo Polskie" until his death. Some of his writings are: "Tajemnice Nalewek," "Kara Boza idzie przez oceany," "Dziennikarstwo Polskie w Ameryce," 1894. Died in 1900.
