Naimska, Zofia
Concert pianist, teacher. Born in Warsaw, Poland. Came to United States before World War I. Graduated from the Warsaw Conservatory of Music with a gold medal, and later on for a number of years was a pupil of Theodore Leschetizky in Vienna. She has concertized extensively in Europe and America; has been for 17 years on the faculty of the Institute of Musical Art in New York City. For a short time she was also a Director of the Piano Department of the Binghamton Institute of Musical Art. In addition to individual concerts, she appeared quite often with her sister Marya Naimska in joint recitals. The two sisters have jointly played with Mr. Bedrich Vaska, cellist, for a number of years as a trio ensemble under the name of The Cornava Trio.
