Nancy and William Nareski IINancy and William Nareski have been active in the Kosciuszko Foundation for many years. William has been a trustee for the last 10 years and has served as Vice Chairman of the Board and Audit Committee Chairman for the past four years. Their daughter, Katharine, was presented as a debutante at the Kosciuszko Ball four years ago. Their son Nicolas, attended two sessions ln the Kosciuszko Foundation's summer school program at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland.
William Nareski grew up in the northern Connecticut town of Enfield. His mother and father were members of the Kosciuszko Foundation and participated in many of its programs. The importance of the Foundation's work was instilled in him at a young age by his parents. His father, William J. Nareski Sr., is 90 years old.
William Nareski is the Chief Executive Officer and controlling shareholder of Centorr Vacuum Industries, Inc. Centorr is a leading international manufacturer of high temperature thermal processing capital equipment based in Nashua, NH. He has had a distinguished career which includes both operational management and corporate development positions. His direct line experience includes engineering, sales, marketing, and finance. He has also managed the successful U.S. market introduction of vacuum related equipment for Ulvac Ltd., the nation wide market introduction of the Klondike ice cream bar and served as an electrical engineer for the Missile Systems Division of Raytheon. He has an M.B.A. from Harvard University and B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Rensselear Polytechnic Institute. William serves on the boards of the World Presidents Organization, of Unique Fabricators, Inc. and has served as a trustee for the American Center for Polish Culture in Washington, DC. He is an active member of the Harvard Club of NYC, Darien Winter Club, Roton Point Club, Wilson Cove Yacht Club and Young Presidents Organization.
Nancy Nareski, a former second grade teacher, is very active with Literacy Volunteers of America in Connecticut, a part of ProLiteracy America, the largest adult literacy organization in the United States. She teaches both Basic Literacy to adults and English As a Second Language to foreign speakers. In addition she developed and, for many years ran, the tutor training programs for Literacy Volunteers.
Nancy and William have a second daughter, Ursula, who is a teacher in Scottsdale, Arizona. They have residences in New York City, Darien Connecticut and Nashua, New Hampshire.
