Nawrocki, Rev. Adalbert, D.D.
Born in Slomiki, Poland, April 16, 1873. Received his early education in that city and attended college in Kielce, Poland. He completed his studies for the priesthood in Rome, was ordained Sept. 19, 1897, and received his Doctor of Divinity degree there. Soon after his ordination he came to the United States and served for a short time as assistant pastor in St. James Pro-Cathedral, Brooklyn, N. Y. and on March 1, 1898, was made pastor of St. Casimir's Church, Brooklyn. In 1912 he organized Holy Cross parish, Maspeth, Long Island, N.
