Public official. Born in St. Paul, Minn., June 19, 1887. Education: St. Adalbert Polish Parochial and public schools of St. Paul. In 1913 established a grocery business. Formerly Republican, now Democrat in national politics. Farmer Laborite in state politics. Elected to the House of Representatives in 1914. Re-elected in 1916. Elected to the Minnesota State Senate in 1934. Served in sessions of 1935, 1936, 1937. Re-elected for four year term in 1938. Co organizer of "Nowiny Minnesockie," Polish weekly paper. Active in fraternal and civic organizations. Member of Catholic Order of Foresters. Polish National Alliance, Polish Union of North America, Catholic Aid Association of Minnesota. North Central Commercial Club, St. Paul Association. University Avenue Commercial Club. North End Improvement Club. Former president and director of University Avenue Commercial Club; director of North Central Commercial Club, Chief Ranger of Catholic Order of Foresters and delegate to all state and International conventions since 1930.
