Ratkowski, Paul
Building contractor. Born March 22, 1850 in Przysiersk, Poland. Son of Stauislaus and Catherine (Wisniewska) Ratkowski. Came to Chicago in 1881. Naturalized in 1886. Married Clementine Nierzwicka in 1882. Built many homes, churches, schools and other buildings. Rebuilt St. Stanislaus Kostka School in Chicago. In 1889 renovated Holy Family Academy, Chicago, Ill. In 1890 built the church of St. Hyacinth in Chicago. General contractor for St. Mary's of the Angels Church, Chicago, Ill., in 1899. Co-organizer of the Polish Publishing Company, the P.R.C.U., and Loan and Building Association of Chicago. Deceased.
