Rosienkiewicz, Martin
Professor. A refugee from Poland after the fall of the Polish Insurrection of 1831, settled in Philadelphia, Pa. Wrote the book: "Dialogues to facilitate the acquisition of the English language by the Polish Emigrants." This book was printed by the John Young Printing Shop in Philadelphia, Pa., in 1834. In 1848 [?] founded the first English school for Polish immigrants in Philadelphia, and was a teacher of English. Also gave lessons in French. Died in 1847 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
