(1921 - 2002)Born in Warsaw in 1921, died July 6, 2002. NASA Scientist, author of many scientific articles, promoter of space exploration and science education. Soldier of the Home Army (AK) and unit leader during the Warsaw Uprising (1944). Recipient of the Virtuti Militari medal, the Cross of Valor and the Commander's Order of the Polonia Restituta.
