Social worker. Born April 14, 1912 in Buffalo, N. Y. Daughter of Stanislaus and Angela (Smej) Ruszaj. Educated at Transfiguration parochial school, Holy Angels Academy; graduate of Oberlin College, Oberlin, 0. in 1934 with B.A. degree in Physical Education. Studied sociology at Western Reserve University in Cleveland for two years. In 1938 visited California and Alaska. Since 1938 working in Buffalo with Catholic Charities, Children's Department. Won many prizes and medals in swimming, including 1930 gold medal for 400 yds. swimming. In 1931 president of Oberlin Women's Club. Member of Oberlin Alumni Ass'n of America.
