Starred in baseball with the Boston Red Sox for 23 years, compiling a lifetime .285 batting average. He won the American League triple crown in 1967 with a .326 batting average, 44 home runs and 121 runs-batted-in. He was voted American League MVP in 1967. In his career he played in 3,308 games, had 3,419 hits, 452 home runs, and 1.844 RBI's.
