Upon completing studies of Law, August, 1914, drafted in the Austrian Army, wounded and returned to a hospital. Came to U.S. in 1920. Studied Social Sciences at Columbia University, N.Y. City and received M.A. degree in 1925. Studied journalism at New York University. Former editor of "Dziennik Nowojorski." Since 1921 until now (1943) managing and chief editor of "Nowy Swiat", Polish daily published in New York City. Married Irene Schultz in 1928. Has one son. Author of "Trzy Matki" (Three Mothers), a novel published in Polish. Author of a monograph - "Social Aspects of Housing Problem in New York City." Decorated by the Polish Falcons of America with the highest award "Cross of Legion of Honor" and by the Polish Veterans Association in America with "Swords of General Haller." Founder and President of Social Service Department maintained by "Nowy Swiat." Founder and President of Polish Day Nursery of South Brooklyn, N.Y. Member of: Polish National Alliance of U.S. of North America; Polish Falcons of America; Association of Polish Publishers and Newspapermen in America. Honorary member of many social societies and clubs. President of Ass'n of Polish Publishers and Newspapermen of America. Active in many civic affairs.
