Zabriskie, Andrew Christian
Engineer. Born in New York, N.Y., May 30, 1853. Son of Christian A. and Sarah J. (Titus) Zabriskie. Education: School of Mines, Columbia College. Married Frances Hunter of New York, June 6, 1895. Joined 7th Regt. N.G. state of New York, as private, 1873, and subsequently served as insp. rifle practice in 71st Regt. and as captain of Co. C same, resigning in 1898. Democratic candidate for Congress, 2lst district of New York. Member of Democratic Executive Committee. Interested in the breeding of Ayrshire cattle. President Am. Numismatic Archeol. Soc., 1895-1905; Member: New York Hist. Soc.; Am. Geog. Soc.; author of numerous articles upon antiquarian, numismatic and hist. subjects. Club: Army and Navy.
