Zaturenska, Marya
Poet. Born in Kiev, Russia on September 12, 1902. Came to U.S. in 1910. Educated in New York; received a scholarship in 1922 to study at Valparaiso University; specialized in library school work and graduated from the Wisconsin Library School in 1925; married Horace Gregory, the poet and critic. In 1938 received the Pulitzer Poetry Award. Author of: "Threshold and Hearth," 1934; "Cold Morning Sky," 1938; "Listening Landscape," 1941. Resides in Bronxville, N.Y.
