Zielinski, Rev. John
Pioneer priest of Brazil. As a pastor of German parish in Blumenau in the State of Santa Catherina, Brazil, in 1869, together with Edward Sebastian Wos-Saporski, sent a petition to the Emperor of Brazil, Don Pedro, to get a permit for the Polish colonization in the state of Parana, Brazil. In 1871 Emperor granted lands for the Polish colonization in Parana, Brazil. Previously he took part in the expedition of Emperor Maximilian; spent a few years in Mexico where he was engaged in scientific research.
