Hneleski, Ignatius S.
Physician. Born in Southampton, Long Island, N. Y., July 28, 1903; son of Stanislaus Hneleski and Rose Kaczynski. Completed grammar school and high school at Southampton, L. I. Studied at Villanova College. Graduated from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, Pa. in 1928, receiving from same M.D. degree. Interne at Philadelphia General Hospital, 1928-30. Upon completion of interneship was promoted to assistant chief-resident physician of the above hospital which position he still occupies. Specialist in internal medicine. (Philadelphia General Hospital is a municipal hospital for the city of Philadelphia and has a bed capacity of 2550 beds and a resident interne staff of 65 physicians.) Chief of a medical service at the Nazareth Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa. Author of "Management of the Blood Bank at the Philadelphia General Hospital," published in Pennsylvania State Medical Journal. Member of Philadelphia County Medical Society. Married Adelaide Dougherty, Sept. 17, 1932. Has three children.
