Ladon, Rev. Felix, C.R.
Clergyman, pedagogue, editor, writer. Born Aug, 30, 1870 in Bedzin, Poland. Nov. 1, 1895 entered the order of the Congregation of Ressurectionist. From 1895 to 1910 taught mathematics and biology in Adrianopol, Turkey. Wrote the First Manuals of Mathematics in the Bulgarian language. Prof. of Math, and Sciences at St. Stanislaus College, Chicago, Ill in 1900. Established a College Library (destroyed by fire in 1906). From 1906 devoted his time to writing. Author of: "Program of Studies for the Parochial Schools," "Catechism Manual," short stories: "Arabka," and "Kmaziowna" for children. "Catechism Manual for Teachers," "Polish Grammar." Edited and published a magazine, "Friend of Children and Youth," for which he wrote articles, short stories and drew pictures.
