Lawniczak, Rev. Casimir
Roman Catholic clergyman. Born in Philadelphia, Pa. in 1900. Attended St. Lawrence parochial school, Philadelphia, Pa. Studied at the Jesuit High School. Entered St. Charles Borromeo's Seminary, Overbrook, Philadelphia, Pa. September 1916 and completed his philosophical and theological studies in 1923. Ordained to priesthood in 1923. First assignment as assistant pastor at Immaculate Conception Church, Reading, Pa.; later became assistant pastor at St. Stanislaus Church, Philadelphia, Pa.; subsequently assigned assistant pastor of St. Hedwig's Church, Chester, Pa. Pastor of St. Stanislaus Church, Summit Hill, Pa., 1932-1937. Pastor of St. Stanislaus Church, Philadelphia, Pa., from June, 1937 to date. He acts as a spiritual adviser to the Polish seminarians attending St. Charles Borromeo's Seminary, Overbrook, Pa., where he has been teaching Polish since 1937.
