Lemanowicz, Francis Stanley
Teacher. Born Sept. 25, 1907 at Windber, Pa. Came to Racine, Wis. at the age of three. Graduated from St. Stanislaus School in 1921, St. Catherine H. S. in 1925, both at Racine, Wis. Graduated from Marquette University in 1931 with a B.A. degree at Milwaukee, Wis. Studied piano music for 8 yrs. Teacher of Polish and citizenship at South Division H. S. in Milwaukee since 1934. First Polish radio announcer in Wisconsin from 1929 to 1932 over Station WRJN with studios at Hotel Racine, Racine, Wis. Social Relief Investigator at Racine, Wis. for 6 months. In 1933 president of Polish Youth Ass'n at Racine. In 1934 president of local P.R.C.U. chapter in Racine. In 1938 president of Milwaukee Polish Teachers Ass'n. In 1939 president of Wisconsin Polish Teachers Ass'n. In 1942 acting supervisor of the Polish language for the Milwaukee Public High Schools. In 1935 organized the First Polish Club at South Division H. S. Residence: 1321 W. Lapham St., Milwaukee, Wis.
