Lempicki, Stanislaus
Editor, poet and writer. Born July 15, 1880 in Zamki, Poland. In 1901 came to Kansas City, Mo. Soon after became an editor of "Gazeta Polska" in Chicago, Ill. In 1909 editor, and from 1919 chief-editor of "Kuryer Polski" in Milwaukee, Wis. Chief organizer of the Federation of the Poles in America. Some of his writings are: "Dzieci Slonica" (drama in four parts), "Sonata Duchow," "Historja Zwiazku Mlodziezy Polskiej w Ameryce," 1906, "Tragedja Morza czyli Zatopienie Tytanika," "Dzwon Zatopiony," "Swiat i Czlowiek," Surmy: "Piesn Patriotycznra." Died on April 18, 1935 at Stevens Point, Wis.
