Lipczynska, Valeria
Civic leader. Born Oct. 4, 1847 in Poland. Served as nurse in Polish insurrection in 1863. Came to U.S. settling in Grand Rapids, Mich. in
1869. At the National Convention of P.N.A., Wilkes Barre, Pa. in 1905 elected vice-censor in recognition of her services to P.N.A. and to the cause of Poland. In 1927 she received from the Polish Government the Golden Cross of Merit. Died Feb. 16, 1930 in Grand Rapids, Mich.From: "Who's Who in Polish America" by Rev.
