Lipinski, Rev. Peter, C.S.Sp.
Born in Poland, Nov. 4, 1889. Came to U.S. and settled in Pittsburgh, Pa. in 1890. Educated at St. Stanislaus parish school. In 1904 studied at Duquesne University. In 1909 studied philosophy and theology at Norwalk, Conn. After graduation appointed professor at Duquesne University, 1913-19. Continued his studies at Norwalk Seminary where he was ordained Nov. 6, 1916. On Sept. 3, 1917 appointed professor at the Holy Ghost College at Cornwells Heights, Pa. A member of the order of the Fathers of the Holy Ghost. From 1918-1928 assistant at St. Mary's Parish, Mt. Carmel, Pa.; from 1928-1933 pastor of St. Stanislaus Church, Pittsburgh, Pa.; from 1933-1939 professor of Latin in Holy Ghost College, Cornwells Heights, Pa.; from 1939-1941 pastor at Bay City N. J.; from 1941 to date assistant to director of Holy Family Orphanage and school in Emsworth, Pa. Address: Holy Family Orphanage, Emsworth, Pa.
