Liwacz, Gregory Henry
Instructor of Supplementary School Movement for Polish American children. Born Feb. 11, 1889 in Bilinka, near Sambor, Poland, son of Jan and Anna (Jarzyk) Liwacz. Primary education in Bilinka; secondary and higher education in Poland, and Detroit, Mich. Graduated from the Government Pedagogium in Krakow, Poland, and passed nostrification at Columbia University 1942, New York, N. Y. Since 1918 an organizer and teacher of Polish supplementary schools in America; also lecturer. Organizer and teacher of Teachers Courses of Polish in various towns of America. From 1935 to 1941 an educational instructor for the younger Polish generation in the United States connected with General Consulate in Pittsburgh, Pa.
