Lopat, (Lopatynski) Edmund
(June 21, 1918 - ? )Pitched 166 victories in the American League and won four World Series games for N.Y. Yankees. Topped 1953 American League pitchers with a 16-4 won-loss record and a 2.42 earned run average. A left-handed pitcher he specialized in curveballs. Later was manager for the Kansas City "Athletics."
