Career: engineer, Westinghouse Electric Company, Pittsburgh (PA), 1936-38; officer, 1938-66, brigadier general, 1966-69, executive appointee, GS-17 Project, 1969-72, U.S. Army; consultant, 1972-76; Retired.

Author: inventor, "Luczak" sight (90 mm. direct fire anti-aircraft artillery), 1943; commander, Operation "Holecard", U.S. Army last atmospheric detonation of nuclear weapon, Johnson Island, 1962; project manager, "Nike Hercules" Missile System, 1963-64, Patriot Anti Ballistic Missile System, 1964-65, Army's Main Battle Tank (Abrams), 1968-72; numerous articles on missiles and rockets.
