Lukaszewski, Edmund
Vocal conductor, composer and organist. Born in Milwaukee, Wis.; graduated from the Milwaukee State Teachers College in 1939 with B.A. degree. From 1930 to 1936 organist in St. Alexandler's Church and director of music for the International Opera Company and Social Centers in Milwaukee. Conductor of choirs in the Milwaukee School System, conductor of women's choir in the Forest Home Social Center. In 1936 received a scholarship from the World Alliance of Poles, and graduated from the Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, Poland. In 1937 teacher in the Vocational School in Kenosha, Wis. In 1936 composed "Kozaczek." Member of the Polish Fine Arts Club, Polish Intercollegiate Club, president of Bet[a] Theta National Fraternity, and president of American Guild of Organists.From: "Who's Who in Polish America" by Rev.
