Magnicki, Gustave
Veteran of Civil War. Captain of Union Army. Born in Breslau, Poland in 1840. Enlisted on July 18, 1861 as a private in the 20th Infantry of Massachusetts. First Lieutenant, May 6, 1864; Captain September 12, 1864, for his bravery at Gettysburg, Pa., and Petersburg, Va. After the Civil War served as Lieutenant of 39th and 14th Infantry until Nov. 14, 1871, when he was honorably discharged from the regular army of U.S. Died in 1914 in Boston, Mass.
