Magott, Rev. Romuald
Born Nov. 26, 1829. Secondary education received in Ostrow, ordained on Dec. 25, 1852 in Warsaw. From 1852 to 1858 professor of theology in Warsaw. In 1863 took part in the Polish resurrection against Russia. In 1884 came to Texas, U.S. Pastor of Holy Cross parish, Yorktown, Texas, 1888 1892. In 1892 pastor in Bevent, Wis., where he built a church with his own money. In 1900 visited Palestine, and in 1901 was nominated chaplain of the Sisters of Nazareth, Chicago, Ill.
