Majas, Rev. Joseph
Clergyman. Born 1895 in Poland, where he received primary and secondary education. Studied theology in Freiburg, Switzerland, where he was ordained July 11, 1926. In 1926 came to U.S. From 1926 to 1941 pastor of parishes in Split Rock, Minn., and Willow River, Minn. In Willow River, established a Youth Town, a camp for boys and girls under the auspices of Polish Roman Catholic Union; was instrumental in building the Pulaski Monument in Willow River, Minn.
