Majewski, Casimir
Cartoonist, designer, actor, writer. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, Warsaw, Poland; came to U.S. in 1909; was active in organizing the first Polish Theatre in Chicago, Ill. Played upon the Polish stage in America for about 40 years. Cartoonist of the Polish Daily "Zgoda" over 25 years. He is also a portrait painter; his painting of Pilsudski is at the P.N.A. Building in Chicago, Ill. In 1936 staged Julius Slowacki's "Mazepa." Wrote a drama, "Wesele Walentego Gomuly."
