Malcuzynski, Vitold
Pianist. Born in Warsaw, Poland. Studied law and philosophy in Poland, before he decided to devote himself to music. At the Polish Conservatory of Music in Warsaw took first prize for piano in Turczynski's class of 1936, and afterward studied with Paderewski. Competed at the great International Chopin Competition in Warsaw and took first prize. Since that time, has given concerts in most of the European capitals, including Warsaw, Vienna, Budapest, with the Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Opera, Brussels; Riga, London; played throughout France, including Paris. About 1940 he came to U.S. from two highly successful years spent in South America. At present gives concerts in United States.
