Malusecki, Rev. Adalbert
Roman Catholic clergyman. Born in Poland, Nov. 10, 1860. Received his elementary and secondary education in the schools of Salesian Fathers in Poland. Came to U.S. as a young lad. He studied at St. Charles Borromeo's Seminary, Overbrook, Philadelphia, Pa. Ordained by Archbishop P. Ryan, May 29, 1887; was the first Polish priest ordained in the Philadelphia diocese. His first assignment was as assistant pastor at St. Lawrence Church, Philadelphia, Pa. Three months later he was appointed pastor of that church in which post he remained for eight years. In 1895 he was transferred as pastor of Immaculate Conception Church, Reading, Pa. and remained pastor of same until his death in 1937.
