Mankiewicz, Joseph L. -- film director, producer, scriptwriterJoseph L. Mankiewicz was a highly successful film maker in Hollywood during the 1940's and 1950's. He won critical acclaim as a film director and producer and was highly regarded as a scriptwriter. Some of his works are: "The Philadelphia Story," "Woman of the Year," and "All About Eve," for which he received two Academy Awards (director and writer).
