Matejczyk, John F.

Professor. In 1925 majored in chemistry and received his B.S. degree. In 1932 obtained M.S. from the University of Pittsburgh, specializing in micro chemistry. In 1935 became a member of the FFSC, Fellow faculty, of Science, an international organization with headquarters in London, England. His work as the assistant editor of the Science Counselor is enviable. Being a specialist in chemistry, was appointed an abstractor for the American Chemical Society. Besides translating various articles from the Polish Chemical Journals comments upon and reviews various articles on chemical abstractions. Besides being a consultant for two chemical companies he is a contributor to the Chemical Analysist, a scientific magazine. Teaches chemistry at Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, Pa., since 1938. At present, carries an intensive research in theoretical chemistry under a grant from the American Academy of Science; holds a rank of 2nd lieutenant of chemical warfare in the United States Army.
