Matuszewski, Rev. Leon
Roman Catholic priest. Born in Pennsylvania. The son of Andrew and Mary Matuszewski. Completed elementary and secondary education in the state of Pennsylvania. Attended St. Mary's College, Orchard Lake, Mich. and St. Bernard's Seminary, Rochester, N.Y. Studied theology for one year in Poland. Ordained by Cardinal Hlond, May 22, 1937, in the Cathedral of Poznan, Poland. First assignment as assistant pastor of SS. Peter and Paul's Church and later was transferred as assistant to St. Stanislaus Kostka parish, Rochester, N. Y. Enlisted as chaplain in the U.S. Army and commissioned as lieutenant. At present stationed at Claiborn, La.
