Editor, author. Born in Wahlstatt, Silesia, Feb. 6, 1879. Joined the Jesuits, April 9, 1896. Educated in Jesuit Colleges and Jagiellonian Univ., Cracow, Poland. Ordained at Cracow, April 14, 1906. Taught Religion in H.S. at Chyrow, Poland, 1908-13. Prof. Dogmatic Theol. in Jesuit Seminary, Cracow, 1914-15. Editor of the Polish Messenger of the Sacred Heart ("Poslaniec Serca Jezusowego"), collab. in the Universal Review ("Przeglad Powszechny"), and other publications, Cracow, 1915-20. Came to U.S. Dec., 1920. Missionary work Dec., 1920-Jan.,1923. Co-editor of the Polish Messenger of the Sacred Heart ("Poslaniec Serca Jezusa"), at New York City, 1923-28, and editor since 1928 (paper moved from New York City to Chicago, Ill., 1934). Naturalized citizen, Feb. 14, 1927. National Secretary of the Apostleship of Prayers among Poles in U.S. Superior or the "Sacred Heart Mission House," 1934-37 and from Dec. 1939 to this time. Author (in Polish): "Serce Jezusa, Zrodlo Zycia i Swietosci," 1917; "Blog. Anna Maria Taigi ," 1928; "Milosc za Milosc," 1936, and many other pamphlets.
