Education: Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), St. Mary's College, Orchard Lake (MI); Master of Divinity (M.Div.), St. John's Seminary, Plymouth (MI); Master of Arts (M.A.), University of Detroit, 1968.

Career: associate and co-pastor, St. Sylvester's Parish, Warren (MI), 1964-72; in Detroit - pastor, St. Christine Parish, 1972-75, archdiocesan consultant, secretary to Cardinal Dearden and Cardinal Szoka, 1974-81, assistant vicar, 1975-77, vicar general, 1977-81, cardinal's secretary and vicar general, 1981-82, auxiliary bishop, 1982-92; apostolic administrator, Diocese of Gary, Merrillville (IN), 1992 -.
