Education: Master of Science (M.S.) (in physics), 1971, Ph.D. (in biophysics), 1979, University of Warsaw.

Career: assistant, 1972, research associate, 1979-81, University of Warsaw; visiting fellow, National Institutes of Health (NIH), Bethesda (MD), 1981-82; research associate, University of Texas, Austin, 1982-84; guest scientist, National Bureau of Standards, Gaithersburg (MD), 1984-87; scientist, National Cancer Institute - Frederick Cancer Research and Development Center, Frederick (MD), 1987 -; consultant, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), 1991.

Author: numerous scientific papers in professional journals on i.a.: crystal structure of HIV protease - inhibitor complex, DNA oligomers with unpaired bases, structure and mechanism of action of asparaginases, tumor suppressor protein.

Member of: American Crystallographic Association; American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS); Polish Institute of Arts and Sciences of America (P.I.A.S.A.); Polish American Health Association; Friends of Polish Library, Washington (DC).
